DCE Holne (R&D) Limited are precision engineers for the optoelectronics industry.

Founded in 1988 as a partnership between Reg Chapman and Gary Alden, DCE Holne (R&D) Ltd initially handled complex and intricate research and development projects for the telecommunications and opto-electronics industry.

The company was sold in 1998 to Gary and Jan Alden, when Reg Chapman retired. In November 2000, after growth and investment in personnel and CNC equipment, the company moved into 9,000 sq. ft. of purpose-built workshops and facilities.

Recent and on-going projects include the machining of wave guides, ring frames, laser packages, chips carriers, heatsinks, hypo tubes and feedthrough tubes, many of which have been developed in close co-operation with customers.
